Terms of Service for Sage

Plain-English Summary
What Sage is. Sage is a manifestation and wellness iOS app that helps you set intentions, track gratitude, and listen to personalized audio stories and affirmations.
You need to be 18+. Sage is intended for adults 18 years of age and older.
Subscriptions auto-renew. Sage offers a 7-day free trial, after which your subscription renews automatically through your Apple ID until you cancel.
Sage is not mental health advice. The content in Sage is for inspiration and self-reflection, not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or crisis support.
We make no guarantees about manifestation outcomes. Results from any manifestation or wellness practice depend on your own efforts and circumstances.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Sage app (including any updates, new features, and related services, collectively “Sage”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Summit Intelligence Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202441229E), a private limited company incorporated in Singapore, doing business as Insight Labs (“Insight Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use Sage and should uninstall it.
We may update these Terms from time to time, as described in Section 17. Your continued use of Sage after any changes means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Sage, you also agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. In any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding data privacy, the Privacy Policy controls.
Sage is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. If you are using Sage on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Who We Are
Sage is operated by Summit Intelligence Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202441229E), a private limited company incorporated in Singapore, doing business as Insight Labs (“Insight Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our registered office is at 152 Beach Road, #23-02 Gateway East, Singapore 189721. We build wellness and self-reflection tools that help users develop positive habits and mindsets. Summit Intelligence Pte. Ltd. also operates Counter AI under the “Summit Intelligence” brand.

Our Privacy Policy provides full details on how we handle your data, including what information we collect and how we use it to personalize your experience. We encourage you to read the Privacy Policy alongside these Terms.
Insight Labs is not a healthcare provider, and Sage is not a medical device. All content in Sage is for general wellness purposes only, as described in Section 12.
3. Eligibility
Sage is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. By using Sage, you represent and warrant that:
You are at least 18 years old;
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
You are not located in a jurisdiction where your use of Sage would violate applicable law; and
All information you provide to us (including during onboarding and account creation) is accurate and complete.
Sage is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to Sage, please contact us at support@insightlabs.ai.
4. Your Account
To access Sage’s features — including personalized audio stories, journaling, and the manifestation wall — you will need to create an account. You can sign up using your email address or through Sign in with Apple, which authenticates you securely through your Apple ID.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your account with others or to allow unauthorized access. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or a security breach, you must notify us immediately at support@insightlabs.ai. Insight Labs is not liable for losses arising from your failure to protect your account.
When you create an account, you agree to provide truthful information and to update it as needed. We may use your account information to send you important service notices, such as updates to these Terms or billing confirmations. You can close your account at any time by deleting the app and canceling your subscription through your Apple ID Account Settings, as described in Section 16.
5. License to Use Sage
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Insight Labs grants you a limited, personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to download, install, and use Sage on iOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works of Sage or any part of it;
Decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying ideas of Sage, except to the extent that applicable law prohibits this restriction;
Redistribute Sage or provide access to Sage as a service to third parties;
Remove or alter any proprietary notices within Sage.
This license does not grant you any ownership rights in Sage. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by Insight Labs. We may revoke this license at any time if you violate these Terms, and upon revocation you must immediately stop using Sage and delete it from your devices.
6. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Billing
Sage offers a subscription-based model to unlock its full feature set, including personalized audio stories, unlimited journaling, and the manifestation wall. We offer a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, after which your subscription will auto-renew until you cancel.
Specific subscription plans (for example, “Sage Monthly” or “Sage Annual”), their length, and their price are displayed in the App Store and within the Sage paywall before you purchase. Pricing may vary by region. Insight Labs does not process payments directly — all billing is handled by Apple.
6.1 Free Trial
New subscribers are eligible for a 7-day free trial of Sage’s premium features. The trial begins when you confirm your purchase in the App Store. You must provide a valid payment method through your Apple ID to start the trial, but you will not be charged until the trial ends.
6.2 Payment and Charges
Payment for your subscription will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. For the free trial, you will not be charged until the trial period ends, at which point your subscription will automatically begin unless you cancel before the end of the trial.
6.3 Auto-Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the plan you selected.
6.4 Managing Your Subscription
You can manage your subscriptions — including turning off auto-renewal — at any time after purchase by going to your Apple ID Account Settings. On your iOS device, this is accessible via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Canceling during the free trial will keep access active until the trial ends; no further charges will apply.
6.5 Free Trial Forfeiture
Any unused portion of a 7-day free trial will be forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends. For example, if you subscribe on day 3 of the trial, you will not receive credit for the remaining 4 days.
6.6 Refunds
All refunds for subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled exclusively by Apple according to Apple’s refund policy. Insight Labs does not have access to your payment information and cannot issue refunds directly. If you believe you qualify for a refund, please submit a request through Apple Support at https://support.apple.com/HT204084.
6.7 Price Changes
We may adjust subscription pricing in the future. When we do, current subscribers will be notified in advance through the App Store or in-app messaging, and any price change will apply at the start of your next renewal period after the change takes effect.
6.8 Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your subscription purchases, which may be added to the price shown at the point of purchase.

7. User Content
“User Content” means any information, media, or materials you upload, submit, or generate through Sage, including your journal and gratitude entries, manifestation wall posts, free-text responses during onboarding, and any photos you upload.
You own your User Content. By submitting User Content to Sage, you grant Insight Labs a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely as necessary to operate Sage and personalize your experience. This license lasts only as long as your User Content exists in Sage; when you delete a piece of User Content or close your account, the license ends, except for limited retention needed for backups, security, or legal compliance as described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not use your User Content to train AI models, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.
You represent and warrant that:
Your User Content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
Your User Content is not illegal, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise harmful;
If your User Content contains photos of other identifiable people, you have obtained their consent before uploading.
We have the right, but not the obligation, to review, monitor, or remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law. You are solely responsible for backing up your own User Content outside of Sage. Insight Labs is not liable for any loss or corruption of your data.
8. AI-Generated Content
Sage uses artificial intelligence to create personalized audio stories, daily affirmations, and text-based guidance tailored to your inputs. These features rely on third-party AI providers (including providers for text generation and voice synthesis), as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI-generated content in Sage is intended for inspirational and wellness purposes only. It may not always be accurate, appropriate, or free from errors. We do not guarantee any specific quality, relevance, or outcomes from AI-generated content.
Manifestation features in Sage — including audio stories, affirmations, and the manifestation wall — are designed to encourage reflection and positive thinking. They are not promises of real-world results. We make no scientific claims about the efficacy of manifestation practices. You should not rely on AI-generated content as professional advice of any kind, whether for mental health, finances, relationships, or any other area. For professional guidance, please consult qualified experts.
If you encounter AI-generated content that concerns you, please report it via the in-app support option or email support@insightlabs.ai.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Sage only in ways that comply with these Terms and applicable law. You must not:
Use Sage for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
Upload, post, or share User Content that is hateful, harassing, bullying, sexually explicit, threatening, or abusive, including content that targets individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics;
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with Sage’s technology, including its APIs, algorithms, or servers;
Access Sage using automated tools without our express written permission;
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with Insight Labs or others;
Interfere with other users’ experiences or with the security and integrity of Sage;
Upload photos or content depicting other identifiable people without their consent;
Use Sage to generate or share content that could harass, stalk, or harm real-world individuals, including naming specific people in ways intended to manipulate, surveil, or threaten them;
Use Sage to create or distribute spam, phishing attempts, or unauthorized commercial solicitations;
Bypass any restrictions, such as geographic limits or age gates.
Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, and we may report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities. To report unacceptable behavior, email support@insightlabs.ai.
10. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in Sage — including its software, design, user interface, logos, the “Insight Labs” and “Sage” names and brands, audio files, text, graphics, and other content (collectively, “Insight Labs Content”) — are owned by Summit Intelligence Pte. Ltd., doing business as Insight Labs, or by our licensors. Insight Labs Content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws in Singapore and internationally.
These Terms do not grant you any rights to Insight Labs Content except for the limited license in Section 5. You may not use our trademarks, service marks, logos, or branding in any way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our prior written consent.
Your User Content remains your property, subject to the license you grant us in Section 7.
If you believe that content in Sage infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@insightlabs.ai with enough detail for us to review the claim. We respond to valid notices of infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws.
11. Third-Party Services and Apple’s EULA
Sage integrates with third-party services to deliver its features, including providers for AI content generation, storage, analytics, subscription management, and in-app support. These integrations are described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those underlying services may also be subject to the third parties’ own terms and policies.
Because Sage is distributed through the Apple App Store, your use is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple’s EULA”), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Apple’s EULA outlines Apple’s terms for apps downloaded through the App Store.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple’s EULA, these Terms will prevail with respect to Insight Labs’s obligations for Sage. However, Apple’s terms will control matters specific to App Store distribution, payment processing, and Apple’s own services.
You and Insight Labs acknowledge that Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Sage or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Sage, and any warranty claims, product liability claims, or third-party intellectual property claims related to Sage are the responsibility of Insight Labs, not Apple, except as otherwise required by Apple’s EULA.
12. Health, Wellness, and Manifestation Disclaimers
Sage is a wellness and self-reflection tool. It is designed to support mindset, gratitude, and intention-setting practices.
Sage is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, psychiatric treatment, medical advice, or crisis support. Sage is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or mental health condition.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or any medical emergency, please seek help immediately:
In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 for emergencies.
Outside the United States, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline in your country.
Manifestation content in Sage — including audio stories, affirmations, and manifestation wall entries — is provided for inspiration and self-reflection only. We make no scientific claims about the efficacy of manifestation practices, and results vary based on individual effort, beliefs, and circumstances beyond our control. Insight Labs does not guarantee any outcomes, including but not limited to achieving personal goals, improving relationships, financial success, or changes in well-being.
We recommend consulting a licensed healthcare provider before making significant changes to your wellness routine, especially if you have pre-existing mental or physical health conditions. By using Sage, you acknowledge these limitations and agree that you are responsible for your own decisions related to your health and well-being.
13. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sage is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Insight Labs does not warrant that Sage will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every device or operating system.
We specifically disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not guarantee that defects in Sage will be corrected, that Sage will meet your expectations, or that Sage will be free from viruses or other harmful components.
Your use of Sage, including any AI-generated content, is at your sole risk. We are not responsible for inaccuracies, omissions, or issues arising from User Content or third-party services.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above disclaimers may not apply to you in full.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Insight Labs, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Sage, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, lost profits, emotional distress, or personal injury not caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Insight Labs’s total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or Sage will not exceed the greater of (i) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or (ii) the total amount you paid (through Apple) for your Sage subscription in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where the law permits limits on liability, the limits above will apply to the fullest extent permitted.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Insight Labs and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (i) your User Content, including any claims of infringement; (ii) your violation of these Terms; (iii) your misuse of Sage; or (iv) your violation of any applicable law or any third party’s rights.
We will provide notice of any such claim and will reasonably cooperate in the defense at your expense. You may not settle any claim without our prior written consent if it requires us to admit liability or make any payment. This indemnification obligation survives termination of these Terms.
16. Termination
You may stop using Sage at any time by deleting the app from your devices and canceling your subscription through your Apple ID Account Settings (see Section 6). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to premium features until then.
Insight Labs may suspend or terminate your access to Sage, with or without notice, if we believe in good faith that you have violated these Terms, engaged in harmful conduct, created legal risk for us or other users, or if we are required to do so by law. If we terminate your account for cause, you may lose access to premium features without a refund.
Upon any termination, the license granted in Section 5 ends immediately, and you must cease all use of Sage. Termination of your account will also result in the deletion of your User Content in accordance with our data retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.
The following provisions will survive termination of these Terms, as their nature requires: Section 7 (your license to us for User Content already submitted, as limited by the Privacy Policy’s retention rules), Section 8 (AI-Generated Content disclaimers), Section 10 (Intellectual Property), Section 11 (Third-Party Services and Apple’s EULA), Section 12 (Health, Wellness, and Manifestation Disclaimers), Section 13 (Disclaimers of Warranties), Section 14 (Limitation of Liability), Section 15 (Indemnification), Section 18 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution), and Section 19 (Miscellaneous).
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in Sage, in the services we use, or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app message, push notification, or email to the address associated with your account. We will also update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms.
Your continued use of Sage after the effective date of any updated Terms means that you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using Sage and cancel your subscription.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
18.1 Informal Resolution
Before initiating any formal proceedings, you and Insight Labs agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Sage informally by contacting us at support@insightlabs.ai and describing the dispute in reasonable detail. The parties will make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute for a period of at least thirty (30) days before either party may commence arbitration.
18.2 Binding Arbitration (Default Forum)
If a dispute is not resolved informally within the 30-day period, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or with Sage — including any question regarding the existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, or termination of these Terms, or any non-contractual obligations arising out of or relating to them — shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in accordance with the SIAC Rules in force at the time the arbitration is commenced, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference into this Section 18.
The seat and venue of the arbitration shall be Singapore.
The tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator.
The language of the arbitration shall be English.
The arbitration award shall be final and binding on both parties and may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction for enforcement.
Each party shall bear its own costs of the arbitration, except as the tribunal may otherwise allocate in the final award.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek urgent injunctive or equitable relief from the courts of Singapore to preserve rights or prevent irreparable harm pending the outcome of arbitration, without waiving the obligation to arbitrate the underlying dispute.
18.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND INSIGHT LABS AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN ITS OR YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, CONSOLIDATED PROCEEDING, MASS ARBITRATION, REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING, OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims, may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding, and may not award class-wide, collective, or representative relief.
Any arbitration under Section 18.2 will be solely between you and Insight Labs and will not be joined with the claims of any other person.
You and Insight Labs each waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action, and waive any right to a jury trial on any claim that is subject to these Terms.
Severability of the Class Action Waiver. If a court or arbitrator determines that the class action waiver in this Section 18.3 is unenforceable with respect to a particular claim or request for relief, then that specific claim or request — and only that claim or request — shall be severed from any arbitration and brought exclusively in the courts of Singapore, while the remainder of these Terms (including the rest of this Section 18) shall remain in full force and effect and shall apply to all other claims. The class action waiver in this Section 18.3 is a material and non-severable part of the arbitration agreement only with respect to the specific claim for which it is held unenforceable; for all other claims, it survives and remains enforceable.
18.4 Mandatory Local Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Section 18 limits or overrides consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under applicable local law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, you retain all rights granted to you under your local law, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where your local law requires it.
19. Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Insight Labs regarding your use of Sage, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements on the subject.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Insight Labs may assign these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Notices. Notices to you will be sent via email to the address associated with your account or delivered through the app. Notices to Insight Labs should be sent to support@insightlabs.ai.
No Agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and Insight Labs.
Electronic Agreement. You agree that these Terms and any notices or records relating to them may be provided electronically, and that any electronic version will have the same legal effect as a printed version.
